Algeos are a leading global medical distribution company within the podiatry, physiotherapy and O&P (orthotic and prosthetic) markets. It is also the largest converter of Orthotic & Prosthetic materials in the UK.
Basic health and safety training can be hard to schedule into staff's daily schedules as it not only takes the staff member away from their daily tasks but also requires a trainer or extra company funds if training is done externally.
Challenged to find an E-Learning service which is informative but flexible. A web-based system to not only include our onsite staff in the E-Learning plan but also our external sales team and service engineers. This would require a robust solution that incorporated all colleagues were getting the same level of training consistently throughout the year.

After speaking to providers, we chose to work with BCarm as they offered both a system solution and consultancy that helped us develop our initial Health and Safety Framework and Risk Assessments. They also provided support to help us implement the system and train our managers and teams, allowing us to build a process that suited the business. Our staff can pick up and put down the training if they have important and key tasks to complete, which benefits us as a company not only to save funds but to help each staff member stay in control of their training without being overwhelmed with a full day or two of courses to take on at once. Not only does the system supply the training but it monitors it too!

Our package includes a range of modules including fire safety training, first aid at work and the capability to perform Risk Assessment that are site-specific. This flexibility means that we can develop further targeted courses throughout 2022.
